Hello, I will be starting my senior year of undergraduate study and I know I would like to volunteer for Peace Corps, the only issue is should I go before graduate school or after? I do not know whether I will have enough skills just coming out of undergraduate school. I am studying for a B.S. in Business Admin - Registered Accounting. My other questions are for anyone who have worked for PC's Business Development program and/or have studied accounting/pursued the Certified Public Accounting Certification: 1) What kind of work have you done in the Business Development program? Do you find that you are really helping the most disadvantaged? I do not know if it is better to help with a business or help with like infrastructure like wells, roads, schools. 2) Would I make a solid contribution in the Business program? I only have my undergraduate education at this time. 3) For those with CPA's, how did you go about getting the required 2 years experience, study for the exam, and when did you start studying and take the exam? My problem is timing; I would like to go to grad school, volunteer for Peace Corps, and need to get experience/study for the CPA, not necessarily in that order. Thank you very much! Dennis |
