Hi. I'm interested in working overseas for an NGO in a very isolated area. One thing I'm curious about is how an NGO in Afghanistan or elsewhere goes about paying their employees. Do they simply wire the money into overseas accounts at the end of every month?

Thanks.

I am a student of Institute of Technology And Management, Mumbai, currently doing an MBA. i am working with the placement cell of our institute. We are trying to make the students of this institute aware of the job opportunities and a carreer opportunities in NGO's.
I would be very grateful to you if you could send some information regarding various opportunities for various departments ie. Marketting, Finance and Human Resource Management. Also if there is any scope of being able to do a summer project during May and June, 2004.
I am looking forward to hear from your end at the earliest.

Hello,
Money is wired to a US-based account. Each organization has different methods of ensuring you have living cash. One organization I worked for let me write a check up to $500 a month and gave me cash. Another organization gave me monthly the same amount of cash and deducted it from my salary which was transferred to my US account.
