Hotel Management /Tourism Internship Opportunity In Antigua Guatemala

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you regarding a possible internship opportunity for your volunteers, who want to stay in the country for a longer period majoring in hotel and/or restaurant management at our hostel in Antigua Guatemala.

Our Company:
Our fast-growing establishment offers worldwide travellers accomodation, restaurant, bar and ancillary facilities.

We are located in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Antigua is renowned for offering Spanish language instruction with over sixty schools. It is also the cultural centre of Guatemala, protected by UNESCO as one of the only remaining colonial cities in existence, in addition to being home to some of the few remaining indigenous Mayan communities.

For these reasons, Antigua has become an important tourism centre in Central America offering visitors Spanish language instruction, beautiful landscapes and interaction with the Latin and Mayan cultures.

The Opportunity:
We are able to offer an internship of a minimum of 6 months to one or two volunteers who are interested in being involved in every facet of managing a hotel and restaurant. This would range from managing employees to interacting with the guests, from developing a marketing plan, to learning and using a comprehensive software programme to operate our hotel and restaurant. Furthermore, internship students will also acquire new skills while learning how to operate our restaurant.

We have accomodation for up to thirty guests and believe in using a ´personal approach´ to managing both employees and interacting with guests (we have also not forgotten the importance of fun).

We have successful built the business from scratch and are recommended in multiple travel guidebooks including Lonely Planet, Rough guide and Footprint.

Opportunity Details
We can offer the successful applicant the opportunity to make a real difference to our fast-growing establishment. We would be able to offer them full accomodation and all meals.

Next Steps
Please contact me by telephone or email as given above for additional information or if you have any questions. I look forward to working with your institution on this opportunity.

Sincerely yours,

Monica Martinez

I noticed your advertisment for a tourism opportunity internship and I would express my intersts for it.

Student at the university of Antananarivo preparing a Master's degree in tourism science, I am currently seeking an internship in the hotel business. An internship outside of my country is a part of our program study and the duration last 3 to 6 months. I would appreciate if you can consider me for this opportunity.

Sincerely yours,

ANDRY NIRINA Rasolofomalala
