TO MEDICAL RPCVs & STAFF: AFGHANISTAN: March 11, 2003 There is interest in identifying skilled people and funding resources to support physician and nursing training at Aliabad Teaching Hospital in Kabul. Aliabad TH was badly damaged in the conflict and there is interest in rebuilding it, but that may take a while to get the resources together. Meanwhile, there is a great need for teaching/training to upgrade skills and re-assemble the faculty and teaching curriculum, based on current and future needs. Contact: John Barbee (RPCV Afghanistan) at the above email address.

Dear John Barbee,
I read your message and want to ask you, what you are looking for. Also English speaking collegues, who can teach for example about clinical needed psychitric treatment. ( Depression, Psychosis, posttraumatic reactions, psychosomatic disorders or somatisation , suizidology ) ?
when you are intrested, please send me a mail.
What about the clinical psychiatric treatment situation in Kabul? Could it be interested to built up a partnership of a German clinic with a one in Kabul?
Best wishes . Dr. Gerhard Schell
