I am a Pennsylvania ESL teacher. I have a new student from the Cape Verde Islands in my class. She speaks no English. She speaks Crioulu. What kind of verbal and non-verbal behaviors can I expect from this child. I wish to know what she is used to--how do teachers and students relate to one another, etc. I would also like to know more about the schooling in the Cape Verde Islands. I would appreciate any information that you could send me. |
