Peace Corps Online continues to globally ban ISPs with no explanation. The ISPs I've seen banned seem to be a response to simply not liking the persons opinion.

The last ISP I saw banned was very unique. The PCOL Discus Program called up the computers(we use a dial-up) in the government building we were working in and kicked us off the internet. We brought PCOL back up and found we were banned.

This is a unique way of banning a foreign ISP and computer access. I have gotten input that it is not uncommon for Peace Corps Online to ban dial-ups in foreign countries this way. This seems to be a violation of foreign countries (dial-up)access right to their ISP, but, not having a law degree, I can tell you that it is very bad for international business and The Digital Divide.

Dear Anonymous,

The best Message Boards are good because they remain on-topic and the communications between individuals is civil and useful. Our moderators work to ensure that this remains true so that everyone can benefit from the community and contribute to the discussions in an intelligent manner. You can read more about the role of the Moderators here.

Most of your posts are off-topic. Many of them don't make any sense. As such they have been moved to the "Off Topic Bulletin Board" where Returned Volunteers can judge for themselves if you are a responsible member of this community. Posts that do not make sense or are off-topic will continue to be moved to this section.

However some of your posts are more serious violations. Every time you make a post that implies a connection between the CIA and the Peace Corps (as you have done in the past) or that uses violent language like "beheaded volunteers," your IP will be banned. PCOL absolutely will not tolerate posts that put volunteers' lives at risk.

Best Regards,

Dear Mr. Pickens
Publisher, Peace Corps Online

Your interview with NPCA president was very interesting(as you have done in the past) . I believe you should read your own interviews.

As far as volunteer deaths. You discriminate regarding those you list. Indeed, one reason I left PC was two volunteers were murdered extremely violently. It was not a complicted thing to figure out.

Justifications for banning an ISP are not quite sane. Eliminating a blog you do not like, for whatever reason, seems to make more sense than banning someones cellular ISP,etc.

Peace Corps has chosen to take aggressive action to blogs it does not like, rather than having them eliminated. This simply makes no sense.

Best Regards,
