I am looking for other PCVs who have been involved in the "voucher system" and not been able to obtain medical/psychiatric care when trying to use the vouchers.

I am entering a lawsuit against the P.C. for such actions and would like to make it a class action suit to strengthen the medical care that all PCVs receive in service or after.

Dave I am not in the voucher system. I have not gotten to that point in my DOL Determination process. However, I think the DOL process is arcane and should taken our of the hands of DOL reps and be placed under the control of volunteers who have experienced such things. I think volunteers who have gone through the process should be authorized by Congress or the Court to get health care without a year long process or "burden of Proof on behalf of the volunteer".

However, I will file a Class Action law suit with you for Negilence in Medical care of Volunteers and try to receive a reward from the court so we can obtain our own health care on our own or run the program ourselves.

Dave would you sign on to my efforts in Congress bringing reform to the FECA and health care at Peace Corps when its time has come?

I am currently involved in the mucky quagmire of FECA. I was treated via surgery IN COUNTRY with the graces of PC DC headquarters and today STILL cannot get timely health care. It has been over a year that I have suffered pain and limited use of my right hand due to this botched surgery in a third world country. Why was I not a medvac? I am currently trying to locate a lawyer to investigate my case. I have contacted my congressman and have received little help. Any siggestions?
