Senator Dodd's Peace Corps Bill may pass tonight

We just got off the phone with Greg Aftandilian, the Senate Staffer on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for Senator Paul Sarbanes of Maryland, and he has informed us that Senator Dodd's Peace Corps Bill (S 2667) may be coming up for consideration in the Senate this afternoon or evening.

Senator Sarbanes (shown in the picture above) has been a strong supporter of the Peace Corps and has added himself to the list of Senators co-sponsoring the Bill.

There is no news at this point on how the bill is faring in the House of Representaties where it goes under HR 4979.

We will be posting news about the passage of this bill to the web site as soon as we know anything more.
