Read this article from the Washington Post on
the Bush nominees who have not been submitted
or approved yet.
Among them the new Director of the Peace Corps -
about 2/3 way down the page. Here's the article.
Nominees in Limbo
BTW - what is the practical effect of not having
the new Director appointed yet? Are initiatives
stopped in their tracks or is the day to day
operation of the Peace Corps proceeding smoothly?
Does anyone anticipate that the Bush administration
plans any policy changes for the peace corps?
What are the choices that will be facing the next Director?
What about morale at the Peace Corps? Will there
be changes at the Country Desk and Country Director
level with the new administration?
Any informed speculation would be welcomed.
