i am a rpcv and i was injured in service it took 6 years to get OWC to open my case and now it is open i can go out on workmans comp. and get my injuries repaired. NO i cant they rate my serviced as a GS1 and i cant live on 200 a week wile on repar of my leg;; Peacs corps Does not tell people who are over 50 that they should have a retirement in place before joining the Corps. if you have not a retirement as I have you will end up as i did for 6 years i lived a life of a person with very littel money i re-educated my self and went to a job field i could do with out a good leg. now my case is open and my back wages are up to be payed i get rated for 20K a year. Not a good way to trear a volunteer. I will tell this story in a book soon and get my operation from its sale if i am lucky/ so do some ting for the people who volunteer and get injured.
i was injured in a motorcycle testing class, we were tested in Motorcross with out the aid of pading and leg protection.Roger Landry 14 robin dr E. Douglas, MA01516/508-476-1329
