Zarmaciine-English-Français

This is a short multilingual dictionary of Zarma developed and modified over a number of years by Peace Corps language trainers, volunteers, and staff in Niger. It serves as a reference for learners at a basic to intermediate level and is not intended to reflect the full richness of the language. This web presentation is in a slightly different format from the original, and the contents have undergone some additional copy editing. You will need a Unicode font to properly view words written with one of the two modified "n" characters (for velar n and palatal n).

Two published dictionaries of Zarma include more words and detailed glosses. Reference was made to both of them in preparing this dictionary for the web. -
