Hi, this is Chris McKee from Mongolia 7 (96-98), and I'm interested in joining the crew of archaeologists that are excavating Genghis Khan's tomb in the Spring.

Hi am looking for my excellent old friend Julie Niederhauser who served with the Peace Corps in Mongolia some years ago (German American).
She saved my life when I was very ill there and we were friends for years but unfortunately lost contact due to a wrongly functional email server!

I am involved with Forte International Exchange Association an independent non-profit organization designated by the State Department as an "Exchange Visitor Program". We bring international high school students from other countries to the United States to participate in an academic and cultural exchange. This fall, we have a group of Mongolian students coming to the US. We are currently recruiting volunteer host families who have a genuine desire and interest to host an international student. Many different types of families are eligible for hosting. Host families may have small children, teenagers, children who have already left home, or no children at all and may live anywhere in the US. The students attend local high schools for the ten month academic year while living with a host family. By opening ones home to a young student from another country, families have the opportunity to share themselves and their love while gaining broader views of the world and friendships that last a lifetime. If there is any way in which you might be interested in hosting a student, or if there is any way in which you can help us reach out to the community, through a bulletin or newsletter, it would be great. Hi I would like to know if it would be possible to get into contact with returned Peace Corp volunteers who went to Mongolia. Why I am interested is that we adopted a little girl from Mongolia in '04 and there is so little Mongolian culture in the USA we can share with her. Any recipes, photos, stories anything would add to her life book and give her a richer understanding of her birth contry.

Hello RPCV's,
I am currently a volunteer in Kyrgyzstan and I would like to travel to Mongolia for a 100km race that takes place at Lake Hovsgol next June. I have spoken with the race directors and they have agreed to a more affordable registration fee, but it does not include travel. Could someone please help me understand what travel from Ullaan Bator to Lake Hovsgol would entail - timeframe, and price. Thank you,
