The Armenian Volunteer Corps was founded and supported by a group of homeland and diaspora Armenians whose lives have been changed by living and working together in Armenia, and wish to share this opportunity with other Armenians.

Jason Demerjian : Director
Jason Demerjian was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia from 1996-1998 where he taught English in the public schools of Stepanavan, worked on small business development projects, coached baseball and basketball teams, was an active member of his town church, and helped train the newly arrived group of Peace Corps volunteers to Armenia. After Peace Corps, Jason received his Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, where he continued work on various projects in Armenia and began developing the Armenian Volunteer Corps. Jason moved back to Armenia in 2000 where he has been directing the Armenian Volunteer Corps and enjoying the challenge of working and living in Armenia.
