Ron Cervenka

Our Peace Corps volunteer, Ron Cervenka, is serving in the Republic of Armenia. It became an independent country after nearly 70 years as a part of the Soviet Union. Yerevan is the capital and largest city.

Ron lives in a mountain community, where it is cool and clear at night. Earlier this month, he wrote us about the opportunity that he had to observe a full eclipse of the moon in the clear fall sky.

Ron will be working with a local school, Talin School #2. This school has 650 students from first to tenth form. We are looking forward to learning more about Armenia, writing letters to the students there, exchanging class pictures, and creating a video sharing with them our Kasson-Mantorville Intermediate School.
