The Unofficial Peace Corps China Homepage
Welcome to the “Officially-Unofficial Peace Corps China Website”. This is your only site for information about the real “Peace Corps China Experience”. These are the opinions, experiences, and general ramblings of re-adjusting Returned Peace Corps China Volunteers (RPCV) , which should be taken with a grain of Zigong’s famous salt.
This site is designed for Returned Peace Corps China Volunteers, Current China PCV’s, and Prospective China PCV’s. My goal is to provide a link between China RPCV’s all over the world and provide a much-needed source of information for the prospective China PCV. So, check out the links and enjoy your virtual trip to China!

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is poised to win a National Science Foundation Grant to work with the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the area of Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Livelihoods in NW Yunnan. The series of research studies are focused on this area where expanding agriculture, ecotourism and national parks are colliding. People with a background (BSc or MSc) in biology or one of the agricultural sciences that might be interested in persuing an interdisciplinary PhD program should contact Dr. Joshua Posner (jlposner@wisc.edu). Fluency in Chinese is an advantage. Their letter of inquiry should include a resume, university GPA and recent Graduate Record Exam scores.
