Concepcion Romero

"From 1981-83, I was a Peace Corps volunteer stationed in a very small rural area, calle 12,000, which is in central Paraguay, South America. I was readily accepted into their community...Concepcion (Romero) and I became best of friends, mostly due to our love for guitar and music. I will always cherish the many nights, weekends and rainy days sitting around the fire at my 'casita' drinking cerveza, playing guitars, and just having the best time of my life...As I look back at that time in my life, I can honestly say that not only was Concepcion my teacher, mentor and best friend, he is one of the greatest people I know..."

Ricardo,

I lived in that nasty little hut after you left...Concepción is indeed a great man, and I'll never forget the countless hours that he spent helping me on projects to better Calle 12.000. I'm sure that you remember his brother Eduardo (and his not so lovely wife), Silvio and Olinda and all of the other fine people of Calle 12.000. You were very fondly remembered by everyone there. The Puesto de Salud that you helped get going was shut down when I got there, but we reopened it and taught an extensive cursillo de salud at Silvio's house...the participation was great.

if this goes to you (in better english i should say,if it reaches you) anyway steve finally i found you, if not please tell him (steve) that i made a call to him if you know who i am :-))
took me so many years till you made yourself visible in the internet.. no dought it is you!
steve casadont and paraguay can only be you, but....
this is berni and you might not want to talk to this grab anymore in your life, i am not a good experience for myself either :-) but i am still in love whith myself :-)))))))) rotfl :-)
could be a good fire to light again!
once upon a time we have been good friends, we lost contact, this is how it happens, but why not making contact now with all our memories?
from my point of view there is a lot which should not to be forgotten and keeps to be alive in my mind.
crazy things, dangerous things (monges) in that time and friendship is what i remember.
i thought you told me about calle dos mil, ok, seems to be doce mil, for me there is no difference jijiiiiiii
never been there, just looking down from the zodiac you never learn to speak guarani :-)
if you refresh your memory and find berni there, you can be sure that someone in germany is glad about it.
irene is on her own, we are divorced, was her decision, but great friends after all.
no idea how you look at it, but if you answer i'll be soooooo glad.
i am convinced this will be something good for both of us - sharing memories makes forgotten friends alive, in my memory you are special, don't ask me why because i cannot tell - some relations are special from the beginning and that's why!
if i get an answer after so many years searching for you be sure i sacrifice a case of beer :-)
i will drink one to you, one to me for us and if i reach out being drunk i am not to blame :-)
if you are the steve having wrestled with me, always winnig, please dont leave me without answer
this is calling wiskonsin to answer hihihiii
whos calling is called berni :-)
