Bob WW2 MCB #148 '45-46 Okinawa
Moved to Bethel, ME July 1946
1950 Bob called back to active duty USNR (Korean War) '50-52 North Africa, MCB#4
Jane employed by Olin Industries in New Haven, CT while Bob was on active duty
Returned to the farm in Bethel in 1952
Bob and Jane started a dairy farm
Jane worked for Brooks Bros. Hardware in Bethel for about seven years
She left the bookkeeping to spend full time with Bob tending the dairy business
1965 Bob and Jane went out of the dairying and joined IVS (International Voluntary Service)
Served in Laos from September 1966 to June 1968
July 1968 Jane and Bob served in Peace Corps India #62 until November 1971
Back to the farm in Bethel until July 1972, then Bob accepted the position of Manager for Keys Ranching Cooperative Society, LTD. in Nakasongola, Uganda -- East AFrica
Then to Kakamega, in Western Province, Kenya
For some time now we have more or less stayed put here in Sumner, Maine
October, 1994 Bob and Jane purchased their first computer and key-boarded a book on their tour of duty in Laos.
After having 25 copies printed out we proceded to hand bind the 25 copies and now are binding the fourth printing of 25 copies. To read about our Adventure in Laos CLICK HERE.
We have been very busy teaching Bird Carving and taking advanced training in computer literacy.
Soon we will start writing about our 3 year experience with Peace Corps 'India 62'
