Hello ! We are a Publishing House and we are looking for a picture of MORITZ THOMSEN to illustrate the French translation of one of his books: MY TWO WARS.
This picture is credited as "Peace Corps photograph by Vernon K. Richey. It was on the dust jacket of "Living Poor" but we have not this book.
The American agent of his books in original language as well as Mr Thomsen's niece cannot help us.
Many thanks if you can give us informations about this photography and if you can send a black and white print or a CD.
Waiting for hearing from you soon...

I believe that Vernon K. Richey was the Peace Corps magazine photographer who took pictures of Volunteers in the 1960's. The name rings a bell as the person who photographed me and many other PCVs in Colombia (1967-1969).
Your request is a couple of years old; so this might not be of use to you. However, if you still need information, you might look up (in the Peace Corps archives) those old magazines from the 60's and possibly from the 70's if you want more pictures by this photographer. Mr. Richey probably took more than one photograph of Moritz Thomsen and they would have been dated in the mid 60's. -Emilie Keas
