I have been nominated to go to Africa.
I am completely medically and legally cleared.

What is the likelihood that I will receive
an invitation to serve as a volunteer?

At this stage in the process, is an invitation
almost assured, or can an applicant still be
easily rejected? I appreciate any insight
that you can give me.

Thank you,

Very. You're about as good as gold.

I'm in a similar position. Do a lot of people get rejected from nomination to invitation?

Me too. I've been cleared on everything. It seems my invitation is just pending the Placement Officer's approval.

Ugh...the wait is horrible. I haven't heard anything since October.

If you have been medically and legally cleared, it would be highly unusual not to receive an invitation at this point. You can call your placement officer / placement office to inquire about the status of your invitation.
