I am only 16 but I am thinking about joining peace corp in a medical field. I really want to go to africa and understand that you dont always get to go where you want. I am just wondering if anyone has been to Africa in a medical feild. If so can you tell me some about it.

One thing to be sure to note: Peace CorpS.
Well, just call a local recruiter, or even a national one. If there is a need, and you have the desired skills, you stand a good chance of going where you wish. Get as many A's in school as possible, gain the needed skills NOW, so you have a better chance.
I think you can turn down an assignment, it's not quite like Priceline, where you only pick the price, and have to take the route/flight/timing they pick for you.
