Hi there,
I'm a reporter at New York Magazine and a friend of several Peace Corps volunteers, and I was hoping that I might be able to speak to someone about a possible story.
One of my friends who is currently planning to go leave for his placement early next year is also a veteran, having done military service with the Navy for the past several years (he did a tour in Iraq before being honorably discharged). I find it an interesting parallel, and am interested in learning about other volunteers that have come from a military background (whether you served, or are from a family whose members have served) to learn about your perspectives on service and your decision to join the Corps.
