Congressman Sam Farr is proposing new Peace Corps legislation that
includes authorization for doubling the size of the Peace Corps,
keeping the Peace Corps independent of USA Freedom Corps, Sargent
Shriver's 4th goal for the Peace Corps, a "Shriver Fund" for promoting
PC goals, and a PC Advisory Board.

Volunteers will increase Homeland Security through Citizen Corps Programs

Amid sporadic fighting, Peace Corps has issued an evacuation order
for all of its volunteers and staff. They are consolidating now, and will
evacuate for a "transition conference" before returning to the U.S.
