Dear Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and Friends of the Peace Corps,

As you may know, there is a section on the Peace Corps Web site that lists notable RPCVs. We are currently updating and expanding this information and would greatly appreciate any help you can give us in locating prominent RPCVs to feature on the site.

The Press Office has searched Web articles, newspapers and other publications for information on the accomplishments of RPCVs, but we are certain there are many of you who deserve recognition whom we don't know about. Also, the thousands of potential applicants who visit our Web site each day may be encouraged to apply by learning what those who have served in the Peace Corps have gone on to accomplish later in their career.

Please look at www.peacecorps.gov/about/history/notable/index.cfm <http://www.peacecorps.gov/about/history/notable/index.cfm> for examples of the kind of information we need. The featured RPCVs are people who have achieved a certain level of prominence since Volunteer service. On the Web site, they are grouped into several categories: arts and literature, business and industry, communications, education, foreign service, government, and nonprofit and development organizations.

If you have achieved prominence in your field or know someone who has, please consider sending us that information. We need the person's name, country and dates of service (if known), along with their current title, organization.

Do not hesitate to forward this message to any RPCVs with whom you are in contact. E-mail responses should be sent to pressoffice@peacecorps.gov <mailto:pressoffice@peacecorps.gov> or you may fax them to our office at 202.692.2201.

We look forward to hearing from you soon and greatly appreciate your help!

Gaddi H. Vasquez Director
