Like many RPCVs we have been waiting for the final version of legislation to see what it contains. Read and comment on this email from Dave Hibbard (shown in the photo above) on why RPCVs should start calling their senators to support the legislation which may be introduced in the Senate the week of June 17 at:

Dear Friends of
Thanks for your support for the "Peace Corps Charter for the 21st Century Act" which will be introduced the week of June 17 into the Senate and House. We are in need of Senators to co-sponsor this bill, especially Republicans, to make this a bipartisan effort.
Please call your Senator¹s office in Washington, DC, today, ask to speak to the Staffer in charge of Foreign Affairs. Tell them you are supportive of this bill which is about to be introduced by Senator Chris Dodd and ask that your Senator contact Dodd¹s office to get a copy of the Legislation and to indicate they want to co-sponsor the bill.
Remind them that there are 166,000 RPCVs nationwide, many of whom are in your state.
Call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to your Senator¹s office.
Again, many thanks for your help.
