2003 National Conference on Community Volunteering and National Service

June 8-10 Baltimore, Maryland

The Corporation for National and Community Service and the Points of Light Foundation are co-convening the 2003 National Conference on Community Volunteering and National Service June 8-10 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

This annual event is the premier gathering of the nation's top community, nonprofit, government, and business leaders involved in the areas of service and volunteerism. It provides an excellent opportunity for all who attend to share practical knowledge, gain new skills, and spread the message of service. In addition to a wealth of workshops, seminars, plenary sessions, speakers, and opportunities for networking, the conference will feature a number of related special events, including a service project at Templeton Elementary School in Baltimore on Saturday, June 7, and a variety of pre-conference training sessions June 5-8. Detailed information on the conference, special events, and registration is available at <http://www.nationalservice.org/conference/info.html> www.nationalservice.org/conference/info.html.

Finally, don't forget to register in advance for the special Corporation for National and Community Service "Issues Forums" and "Awards Luncheon" scheduled for Monday, June 9. These events are designed especially to bring together those in the national service network, to promote discussion of timely topics, and to honor those who have served their communities and programs with distinction. More information on these events is available at the above web site. (Please note that there is a $15 charge for the Awards Luncheon and that advance reservations are required.)

See you in Baltimore!
