Peace corps sends volunteers to serve as guests of foreign and now domestic govt. we are not there as politicians. I bet the same girl wants the United states Govt to protect her too. How about a trip for the ignorant PCV????

I think alcohol is a big problem everywhere and the Peace Corps is not helping an alcoholic by ignoring the problem. If alcohol is upsetting the job and volunteering, then measures need to be adressed by the host and staff.

What domestic governments are we sending volunteers to? If you are referring to Mexico (the PC and mexico sign an agreement), Mexico is not a domestic goverment (domestic referring to in-house) they are a foreign country occupying the same continent.
