I just read of the anti-war RPCV's who have misrepresented themselves as speaking for all RPCV's. I do not want the Peace Corps name to be hijacked by any group of special interests. For decades this service organization has stayed clear of politics both here or in-country, and this blatant attempt to use the our good name for selfish agendas is wrong!
The Peace Corps is NOT a political action group, we are NOT a pro-environment or pro-use group, we are NOT a pro-life or pro-choice group, and the list of issues could go on. I believe that the use of the Peace Corps name and any reference to peace Corps member groups must be restricted. They can name themselves whatever they want as long as 'Peace Corps' is not included.

You are totally right, Babs.

So, all you former volunteers and volunteers, campaign and volunteer for Dean who was opposed to war. You can go to his website and blog for him, volunteer in your community, have a house party, give money on the website and then vote for him so our jobs program comes back home to help with our infrastructure, health care, jobs, should I go on.

Do anything, but let's moveon.org from this administration.
