Dear Congessman, 10/27/03

Im writing on behalf of all the children in the world born addicted to a narcotic as a result of drug addicted mothers who carried them. Children everyday are being born addicted to drugs, why isnt there a law stating that mothers carrying a fetus past the first trimester date and are still using should be arrested and imprisoned until they give birth to healthy newborns, then the state can determine whether or not the mother suitible to take their child home providing they have one. Wouldnt it be cheaper to imprison these women until the time of birth rather then the tax payers paying millions every year for the on going medical treatment these unfortunate newborns have to endure? When one simple law could save the lives of millions of our children. If you weigh the cost,I think you would be amazed at how much we can save not only in money but lives as well!

god bless and thank you
