Your Chance to Meet and Honor Sargent Shriver

Attend the annual NPCA fund-raiser on Wednesday, November 12 to meet and honor Peace Corps Founding Director Sargent Shriver. The reception will take place in the Great Hall of the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

The program will start at 7:00 p.m. with Honorary Emcee Frank Mankiewicz, Peace Corps Regional Director for Latin America, 1962-1966.

Please come out and help salute Sargent Shriver and the RPCV Members of Congress.

Call Joseph on 202.293.7728, extension 17 to make your reservations. Tickets are normally $125 per person. Tell the NPCA you heard about this on "Peace Corps Online," that you are an RPCV, and ask for the special ticket price of $75 per person.

Sargent Shriver will be 88 years old on November 9 and makes very few public appearances. This may be your last chance to meet and honor the man who was the first Director of the Peace Corps.

Tickets will not be sold at the door. Call now to get your tickets.

Honour was something we used to afford a perosn in federal service. The honour is no longer understood. We had this. People have made a sacrifice to this, fools accept an honour. I was this honour.
