Peace Corps says thank you to media

The Peace Corps would like to thank you for your recent article "Peace Corps plans Maricopa Colleges recruiting drive," which appeared in the Nov. 12 online edition.
The media is a tremendous resource for the Peace Corps. Any time a story runs highlighting the work of volunteers serving overseas or those that have completed their Peace Corps service, it assists the agency in gaining exposure for our mission: To help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained men and women; to help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served; and to help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.
Through the media, the Peace Corps volunteers are able to share their unique stories with a wide audience and inspire others to use their own talents to serve.
Many volunteers are first exposed to the Peace Corps experience through newspaper articles such as yours. We appreciate the support you have shown for the Peace Corps and its volunteers.
