Governor Ann Richards and Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas have supported Governor Dean's record and pursuits to the White House. Who would know better, what Democrats are up against than former Governor Ann Richards who lost to George Bush on his home turf.

Speaking in Dover, NH and taking out a three page ad in Dover's Foster Daily with three pages filled with Women for Dean, she made her case he is the right guy. In her speech she said, "you folks are in for the fight of your life". She also said something, that most in the room took notice of, she said, " I have worked with each of these candidates over the years, she said they are nice people, but Howard as Governor has done more and accomplished more for his state than any other Governor in the United States." I would say that is an endorsement. Perhaps Ann Richards will become an Ambassador in a Dean Administration.

Sheila Jackson Lee was on stage next to Governor Dean at Pease airforce Base in Portsmouth,NH. with the Governor when he flew in from Iowa at 3:00 am. As you know, Sheila Jackson Lee is always fighting on the house floor for her state and alot of issues. Personally, I was able to speak with her personally about the Peace Corps safety and security issues coming up as hearings in the House and the Senate. She listened intently and said she supports Peace Corps and would look into its reform.

Two Powerful Texas Law Makers. I bet they will find a way to help in the delegate count in Texas for Dean. We look forward to it.
