I completed my service in 1978. Throughout the Reagan years, I heard stories out of Central America about how American policies destroyed much of the good will we regional volunteers had worked so hard to build. 25 years later, I'm active in our state's RPCV community, and I hear the same stories from newly returned volunteers. Their grass roots attempts at showing and establishing respect, their efforts at showing a better side of our foreign policy, were wiped away with the advent of the Bush administration's policies. I am suporting Kerry out of what I see as a crucial need to stop the Bush warwagon before more harm is done.

How can anyone believe we are helping the world by waging a war against people who did us no harm, calls it "defending"our country, and causes so much hatred of us by other nations. I also feel less freedom in my own country as the "relious right" tries to legislate their own brand of morality and values... (even to the point of ammending the constitution to reflect their values?????)
