What happens to the Haiti volunteers?

So, what will happen to the Haiti volunteers who were evacuated?

Do they get another opportunity to serve, or is it just "thank you very much," and they are sent home without an adequate readjustment allowance? They can't collect unemployment. The job market is not promising right now.

If they are not to end up homeless on the streets of their own cities, their families will have to help them. Let's hope they can afford the $200/month health insurance premiums, not to mention rent, security deposit, furniture, transportation, food, and the expenses associated with a job search.

It is the volunteers and their families, not the American government, who bear the financial risk of volunteering for the Peace Corps.
