Dubya lied us into a war, a pre-emptive invasion of Iraq, and he has been a general disaster for our foreign policy. Dubya was waged a 'War on Terra,' but has not made us safer from terrorism -- quite the opposite: his administration was, at best, asleep at the switch before and on 9/11; he has totally mistargeted U.S. efforts; and his polities have worsened international terrorism by feeding international rage at the U.S. Dubya has been a disaster for the environment. Dubya has been a disaster for the economy. Dubya's cronies, particularly Ashcroft, have attacked our civil liberites.

A Peace Corps reason: Dubya has so totally discredited the U.S. internationally that I would not currently want to be part of an organization like the Peace Corps that represents the U.S. elsewhere in the world. I would neither feel happy to do so, nor safe in so doing.

Agree! I don't like the way this administration conducts business. It's too secretive. The 'our way or no way' attitude is not right. The discrediting of the UN - which we helped establish based on our own democratic principles - when they didn't agree with us stinks. The false pretenses used to get us in to a war in Iraq - which they wanted to do all along, is not right. Not planning for 'the day after' shows they don't think about contingencies. This administration's activities further feed the hatred for this country that allowed 9/11 to happen.
They can propose all the money they want for Peace Corps, social programs, etc. etc., but if the money isn't there (in part due to tax cuts, increased military and security spending), what good is it?
This administration needs to be fired from their jobs. I pitty the people who have to put the pieces back together again after their radical realignment.

I'm sorry about the above message getting posted more than once. I kept getting a 'web site not responding' error message...
