Changing the five year rule would be a mistake and destroy opportunites for thousands of people who would like to work for Peace Corps. This should remind Peace Corps of term limits and politicians who will not leave office effectively destroying opportunites for other Americans.
Other than this I believe Henry Hide as done a fantastic job.
Thanks from an RPCV and all RPVCs and PCVs who do not know how much Henry Hide has helped.

I support term limits in general for reasons stated in many previous posts. However, the issue at hand is about continuity, quality of volunteer support and maximizing the opportunity for Americans to serve as VOLUNTEERS ... It is certainly NOT about creating as many staff openings as possible.
There should be some flexibility for judgement in extending certain staff beyond the 5-year limit (e.g., experienced CDs and APCDs, S&S staff, medical staff). What seems to be lost in these discussions is the importance of competent and experienced management staff in the field. These folks have by far the most impact on quality of volunteer support.
