The National Review is basically offended that the Peace Corps is not the war corps. Duh. I think our PCVs do a lot more to create peace in the world than smashing other people to bits does. We have now destabilized Iraq and made it a haven for terrorists, who are attracted to it not just because of the American presence, but because it now has an extremely weak to nonexistent government that could monitor them. How could you be a PCV or RPCV and not agree with her? You can bring in all sorts of right wing wacko agendas to justify bashing her, but if you just STICK TO THE ARGUMENT to disagree with her is to disgrace your own service.
