I am continuing the mission through a business I am establishing to help aritsans. We offer sustainable oppertunity to business owners who produce wonderful creative products. All the artists are paid fair market value and above for their products. In addition, they are offered free business classes to help in the development of a strong and stable business. The long-term goal is not only to better their personal circumstances but to contribute a portion of the profits to community development projects such as digging a well, building a school, or vaccinations etc. So, of course, I thought to contact my fellow RPCVs in Ecuador where, in my travels, I saw so many great artists passing on their traditions. I am looking to establish long-term relationships with people who can buy into the vision for our organization. Any contacts you can give me will be treated respectfully and I would love to be a part of your current projects if our missions coincide.
Thanks for your kind consideration.

Hi Pam,
I have lots of contacts in the Otavalo area, though I don't necessarily know any artisans who would be appropriate for your project. But I could give you a few contacts to get started, maybe. Email me if you're interested. annantaft@yahoo.com
