i am 14 years old going to 15 could i volunteer on small projects

i was just wondering the same thing. im 16 and joining the peace core has always been one of my aspirations in life. i would really like to help out, somewhere, anywhere! now, i know its not possible for me to go away for two years anytime soon, but is there anything i can do while im still stuck with my summer and weekends as my only options to work?
