Sounds just like the neo-liberal philosophy currently propping up imperialism ; "divide and conquer." I think it was Caesar saying that. We've seen for at least the last thirty years how not only our communities have been destroyed by capitalistic materialism, but our own senses of self, simply by fracturing tham into a million desires. Let's add more to that!

I agree that there is no need for an award. Service to the PC and one's community (I still think of my village as "my community") is reward enough - I didn't join PC so I could put an award on my resume.
