I want to join the peace corps right out of highschool and i want to work in Morocco because i already speak arabic and i plan on learning french. What can i do while im in Morocco? I am 17 right now and i have 2 years left of highschool. I am figuring out my options as we speak.

hi,i want to thank all pcvs who worke in morocco,especially those who worked during 2001 to 2007 in rural areas such as: akka; the most marginalised city!even though all obstacles that may pcvs encounter,they really assured that cooporation as well as coordination,recognition is still possible,and cultural diffrences would never creat so called civilazitional crash,but civilazitional integration.therefore,pcv, to my mind,should be fully aware of the local culture,i do not mean traditions as most of pcv think of,but belifes and principles that are hidden,deep seated in the unconscious.these nonobserved cultural aspects must be taken in consideration when a pcv endeavers to interprete any behaviour.all in all, i do salute all pcvs in morocco,esp in akka.thanks to them i speak english,and pursue my study right now in the university:english literature.i hope to return the favour one day! a student of pcvs in akka,tata province. moulay ali elaalaoui: ali.elaalaoui@hotmail.com,tel:076714858

Hello Cassandra,

I am currently awaiting depature to Morocco in March. I see that you are so excited about going, but I want to tell you that you may not get the opportunity to serve there. I have taken 6 years of Spanish and wanted to go to Latin America so badly. However, because of Medical accomodation I could only go to one place in Latin America, and that was full for my program. Keep your options open, and make sure that you practice one thing over all...FLEXIBILITY!
