ok i am 17 senior in high school and i want to join the peace core right out of high school. I really do love the idea of the peace core and it is dieing and thats something i want to keep alive...love, sister/brotherhood, and helping ppl just b/c you care . i would love also to get out and have new experiences and meet new ppl and just help the world please get back to me and let me know what i should do

you have to have a certain amount of expierence work in 1 or more of the areas the peace corps works in. They're sending you oversea's into under developed countries, on your own, to help a country as a whole. Usually a bachelors degree is required, some sort of proof your qualified and serious about your commitment to volunteer in the peace corps.

ok, well im 16 going on 17 in august and i really want to join the peace core, but i also want to major in english and history, will i be able to if i do it after college, or if i get my degrees would they be able to help me accomplish things in the peace core????

Hi, I am 15 and I would sacrifice anything to get to Africa and do service work. I feel very passionately about this and I think that joining the Peace Corps would be the best way to proceed with my dream. I need to know what i should be doing though, so that i can join after i graduate from either high school or collage. Many carreir options are open to me right now, and i need to choose something that will get my to Africa to help. i will do anything.

Do you have to be a High School graduate to join the Peace Core and can an ex-convict that is a saved Christian join the Peace Core???

You have to have a college degree or significant work experience before joining. I hope you will all do more research instead of waiting for someone on this site to answer.
