I immediately recognized the name Ricardo Chavira as the RPCV who spoke to my PC group while we were in training at TAMU, College Station. Our group, Proyecto Agrario Peruano Americano(PAPA), was sent to Perú in 1970. Ricardo's presentation was very motivating, inspiring and informative. At a time when few Chicanos (Mexican-Americans/Hispanics) were serving with the Peace Corps he had a big impact on our group. My kids have also heard numerous stories about that exciting time in Perú. ¡Viva el Perú carajo!
