I knew Zack. He would never have taken his own life. I blame the Peace Corps for leaving kids alone for years. There should always be a buddy system in these isolated areas. Shame on the Peace Corp. Take better care of your volunteers.

I named one of twin sons after Zachary and his dad as a tribute to the exemplary character of this fine young man and for his dad's (Patrick)incredible strength, heart and spirit who was so instrumental in protecting and saving my twins' lives during my pregnancy. The twins are now 5 yrs old and we will never forget the anniversary of Zach's death or for how he blessed so many with his life. I pray my Zach turns out to be a servant leader just like Zach Merrill.
