Hello,

I am looking for a subject matter expert on the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DMC) to act as a resouce for my children's book set on the Congo River and Kinshasa. I am hoping to be able to leverage any experience in the region to ensure authenticity and accuracy of the story. I have never been outside of North America (let alone to Africa - though I hope to one day) so need to research the area and am looking for first-hand accounts from someone with understanding of and compassion for the people, culture, geography, etc. I am in the early stages of the first draft and am struggling with the finer details and understanding of my character's perspective/point of view.

Any insight or guidance would be greatly appreciated (and acknowledged).
