Through the Peace Corps’ Partnership Program, Rotary International provides funding for community-initiated projects coordinated by Peace Corps Volunteers serving in 74 countries around the world. Now, with a 37-year high of over 8,000 Volunteers in the field, Rotary International and Peace Corps have even more opportunities to work together to benefit the health and well-being of communities around the globe. In addition to discussing the Peace Corps’ Partnership Program, Director Tschetter will update the attendees on progress of the Peace Corps and his vision for its future. Attendees include Rotary club members, Peace Corps staff, and 15 U.S. Ambassadors including Joseph Huggins, former Ambassador to Botswana from 2002-2005. Ron Tschetter is the seventeenth Director of the Peace Corps. He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in India in the 1960's.
