Hi everyone,
I recently graduated from the University of Utah in Film Studies but have been working as an IT professional building, maintaining, and administrating computer labs on campus. I work primarily with macintoshes but have a strong linux background. I know how to design and maintain an effective computer lab from scratch and have been puzzling how to set up a lab given highly limited resources ($3k-5k and 30 terminals for instance) for about two years now.
I graduated at the age of 19, am a quick learner, and take no issue with physical discomfort (I make at least one 100 mile trek through the mountains of Utah a year).
I'm married to a wonderful right-brained woman who also has done very well in school. She hasn't yet finished her AS and we are waiting until she's done with her BA to apply with the Peace Corps.
Are there many computer specializing positions in the Peace Corps? I weigh like 125 lbs and am 5'8" so I wouldnt be the best candidate for ditch digging. My wife wants to know what experience she should get before going into the Peace Corps.
thanks,
Theblindman2
