I recently submitted my application and have scheduled my interview---by chance I came across an article that detailed the crime committed against PCVs and now I'm panicking.

While most people would agree that PC needs to step up their game a bit when it comes to safe housing, etc, I have felt very safe. Crime does happen, but usually it is opportunistic.
