Michael Wolfson is also putting together some special Peru events,
including:

Saturday afternoon, September 22
Peru Country update. Site to be announced. Panelists include Aquiles and
Morena Lanao, someone from the OAS or AID or the State Department or the
Embassy.

Saturday night, September 22
Dinner at a Peruvian restaurant for the
entire Peru group

Sunday morning, September 22
Walk from the reflecting pool by the Lincoln Memorial across Memorial Bridge
to Arlington National Cemetery where we will have a ceremony at the
amphitheater. We assemble and walk by country-of-service groups carrying
the flags of the 134 countries the Peace Corps has and is serving in.

President Alejandro Toledo (Cholo Chimbotano) has been invited to be the
keynote speaker. Nancy Meister Deeds spoke to him at the inauguration. He
would like to do it, but has to coordinate with a speech to the U.N. and
commitments in Peru.

The Peru country of service dinner will be held at the Cuzco Restaurant, 5831
Columbia Pike, Falls Church, VA at 7 pm Saturday, September 22. To get there, tale the Metro to Ballston and a quick cab ride to the restaurant. Hope you can make it.
