Read the story from the Washington Post on Senator Dodd and his probably vote for Gaddi Vasquez at:

Former secretaries of state James A. Baker III, George P. Shultz and Lawrence Eagleburger on Monday called for Senate confirmation of the long-stalled nomination of Otto Reich for assistant secretary for Latin America.
It's not looking good. Last week, in uncharacteristically blunt language, Sen. Christopher J. Dodd (D-Conn.), who heads the Foreign Relations subcommittee for the region, pretty much buried it. "That nomination's not going anywhere. That's the end of it," he told the Hartford Courant.
There's still talk that Bush may give Reich a recess appointment, which would give him the job for a year or so.
Dodd, a former Peace Corps volunteer, said he was "probably going to support" former Orange County supervisor Gaddi H. Vasquez to be director of the Peace Corps, though he thought Vasquez a "weak nominee." Vasquez has been criticized for lack of experience.
