INTERNATIONAL HEALTH GROUP ORGANIZING TO SUPPORT NPCA ADVOCACY
January 26, 2002

The NPCA has adopted international health as one of its three major advocacy initiatives. Included are women's health, AIDS and tuberculosis.

The undersigned have decided to organize an international health group of RPCVs and the Peace Corps community, for the purpose of supporting advocacy in this area. We warmly welcome the participation of NPCA Board members, other RPCVs or Peace Corps staff in this new initiative. The results of this meeting will be reported to the NPCA Board at its meeting in Tulsa on January 31-February 2.

An organizing meeting will be held at the offices of John Snow Incorporated (JSI), 1616 North Fort Myer Drive, Arlington, VA on Saturday, January 26, from 10:00 am-12:00 noon. After the meeting, there will be a short meeting of a core group, if established, to identify tasks for next steps. Directions to the meeting can be found below.

We welcome your participation and hope you can join us in setting the future directions of the International Health Advocacy Group on Saturday, January 26 at JSI.

Signed,

Carrie Hessler-Radelet
George McFadden
Alan Yount

If you are late to the meeting, please call (703) 528-7474, ext. 5203, and someone will come down to let you into the building.
